Prepare 750 gm - Chicken
Prepare 1 cup - Mustard oil
Get 2 pcs - Cinnamon

Prepare 3 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
Get 1/2 cup - Onion finely chopped
Prepare 6 pcs - Whole green chillies

Get 2 cup - Basmati rice, soaked and drained
Make ready 1 cup - Milk
Make ready 1/2 cup - Yogurt
Prepare 1/2 - Garam masala
Get 1 tsp - cumin powder
Make ready 1 tsp - Coriander powder
Make ready 1/4tsp - Nutmeg powder
Make ready 1/2 tsp - Caraway seeds
Take 1 tsp - Lemon juice
Make ready 1 tbsp - Kewra water
Make ready 1 tsp - Sugar
Prepare As per taste - Salt
Steps to make Chicken Tehari:
Marinate chicken pieces with yoghurt. Heat the pan, take 1/2 cup mustard oil in a pan and heat it well. Then add bay leaf, cinnamon, a piece of black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves and 6pcs of black pepper. Fry it until there is a flavor. Add 2 cups finely chopped onions, fry the onions until it is caramelized.
Next add giner-garlic paste, add 2 tblsp water in it. Mix 1tblsp salt and green chilli paste. After adding every kind of spices, stir a little bit. Then add cumin powder and coriander powder. Cook it for a minute. Now add chicken pieces and mix it very well and cook it for 10minutes. After 10 minutes, then add 1/4th tsp nutmeg power, 1tsp gorom masala powder and 1tsp lemon juice. Then add 1/2 tsp sugar and mix everything very well. After that turn off the gas
We use mustard oil to cook the pulao. Take 1/2 cup mustard oil and heat it well. Add all whole spices(cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon) Then add 3cups water and 1cup milk. Add 1/2 tsp caraway seeds. Mix it well and wait. When the water will start to boil, add the rice in it. Add salt 1tsp, add 1tbspn kewra water. Then add 6 split green chilies., now mix it softly.
Now add the cooked chicken on top of the rice. Then spread the chicken and lid the pan. Make the heat of the gas stove low and keep the pan on that heat. Now wait for 10 minutes. After 10minutes, remove the lid and mix it softly. Now lid the pan again and wait for another 5 minutes. After that turn off the gas stove. Tehari is ready to serve.
