Take green chillies
Make ready For Biryani :
Prepare cup oil
Take medium Onion Sliced
Prepare tbsp cumin seeds
Prepare Cinnamon
Prepare black cardamom
Take green cardamom
Get cloves
Take black pepper corns
Make ready Curry leaves
Get medium Potatoes
Make ready Ginger Garlic paste
Get Tomatoes sliced
Prepare yogurt
Get Left over Chargha Masala
Prepare green chillies
Prepare dried plums
Get Rice
Take cup mint leaves
Prepare chopped cilantro
Steps to make Chatpati Chargha Biryani !:
Marinate chicken with all the mentioned masala except mint leaves, lemon slices, green chillies, oil & water.. n leave it over night for marination.
Next day fill the half steamer with water.. let it boil… now place grill on it n steam cook the marinated chicken (place mint leaves, green chilies & lemon slices in the hollow area of chicken n tie the legs with thread)… keep the leftover masala aside for later use… steam cook it for 30 to 40 mins. - Now remove the filling n fry chargha until nicely golden.
Now prepare Biryani… fry onion n add whole spices..curry leaves n ginger garlic paste n saute it for 2 mins.. now add potatoes.. leftover chargha masala n tomatoes..
When tomatoes becomes soft, add yogurt, green chillies & dried plums.. cook it until potatoes cooked well & oil seperates.
Now boil rice in the same water which we have used for steaming chicken.. if required you can add more water to it. Don't Over cook the rice.. strain them when 85% done.
Now place prepared masala in the bottom of the pot, now spread rice on it… now food colour, mints leaves & Cilantro. & on the top place prepared chargha n give it dumm.
Keep chargha separate before Mixing rice. Serve with Raita n enjoy !
