  1. Get 6 soya chaap (approx 500gm)
  2. Take 200 gm paneer (cut in cubes)
  3. Prepare As needed Oil for deep fry

  7. Get 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  8. Prepare 1 tsp jeera

  13. Make ready 1 Dal chini
  14. Get 1 tbsp kasuri methi

  17. Prepare 1.5 red chilli powder
  18. Get as per taste Salt
  19. Get 1 tbsp pudina powder
  20. Take For biryani
  21. Take 1/3 cup refined oil
  22. Prepare 2 large onion sliced
  23. Get For rice
  24. Prepare . 4 green cardamom
  25. Prepare 2 tbsp coriander chopped
  26. Make ready 1 tsp biryani masala
  27. Get 1 tsp mint powder
  28. Get 3 black pepper
  29. Prepare as per taste Salt
  30. Make ready 1 tsp For biryani layer kewra water
  31. Prepare 1 tbsp desi ghee
Instructions to make Soya Chaap Biryani:
  1. Soak frozen chaap into normal water for 2 hrs. Cut 4 chaap into large pieces (1 chaap into 4 pieces)
  2. Deep fry all pieces and 2 full chaap into very hot oil till golden brown & crispy from outside.
  3. Deep fry paneer cubes also till light brown from outside.
  4. Wash rice properly, soak rice in clean water for minimum 30 minutes
  5. Make deep cut on full chaap it enhance the flavour of marination.
  6. In a deep bowl add dahi, ginger garlic paste, jeera, laung, black pepper, tej patta, green cardamon, dalchini, kasuri methi, coriander, biryani masala, green chilli (slited), haldi powder, red chilli powder, pudina powder, salt
  7. Add chaap and paneer, mix it properly, keep aside for minimum 20 to 30 minutes
  8. In a heavy bottom pan add refined, heat it then add sliced onion, fry them till light brown. It takes approx 5 to 7 minutes. Remove it on absorbent paper
  9. In an other pan boil water add salt, green cardamon, chopped coriander leaves, pudina powder, biryani masala, mint powder, black pepper
  10. Add soaked rice and cook till 80 to 90% rice cooked. Donot stir again and again - Strain the rice. Keep aside rice water which we use later.
  11. In heavy bottom pan add marinated chaap and paneer. Do not switch on gas as oil is already very hot, add 1/2 cup rice water and mix gently.
  12. Add half of the boiled rice and make a layer on marinated mixture, add, chopped coriander, little mint powder, fried onions on top.
  13. Add remaining boiled rice to make another layer, add 1 tbsp desi ghee, sprinkle chopped coriander, some mint powder. Drizzle meera water on top.
  14. Cover it properly with lid, switch on the gas, cook for 15 to 20 minutes at very low flame. Put some weight on lid for dum cooking.
  15. Soya Chaap biryani is ready. Serve hot…Best accompanied with boondi raita
