The ingredients needed to make Sooji Besan Halwa:
  1. Make ready 1 cup suji
  2. Make ready 1 cup besan
  3. Make ready 4 tbsp desi ghee (quantity is variable)
  4. Take 1 cup sugar (accordingly),
  5. Get 2 cup milk
  6. Take 1 tsp Elaichi powder
  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp kewra water
  8. Prepare as required Desiccated coconut
  9. Get 6 Kaju chopped
  10. Get 5 badam
Instructions to make Sooji Besan Halwa:
  1. Take a wok, add sooji & besan, dry roast till light pink at low flame.
  2. Now add ghee, stir it.
  3. Roast sooji & besan until light brown. You can add more ghee if required.
  4. Now add milk slowly slowly, keep stirring till milk is soaked completely & sooji is puffed. Add more milk if required.
  5. Add sugar now, keep stirring. Stir fry it till you get a smooth texture.
  6. Add Elaichi powder & kewra water, mix it well. Stir fry it till smooth.
  7. Switch off the flame now. All cooking has been done on low flame.
  8. Take out the halwa in a serving bowl.
  9. Take a small pan now, add 1 tsp ghee, add kaju & badam, fry them till light brown.
  10. Garnish halwa with desiccated coconut & fried dry fruits.
  11. It's an exotic Indian dessert.
