  21. Take 1 /4 tsp cumin powder
  22. Prepare 1 /4 tsp garam masala
  23. Take 1 tsp salt
  24. Make ready 2 tbsp curd / yogurt (whisk)
  25. Get 1 cup basmati rice (soaked20 minutes)
  26. Make ready 2 1/2 cup water
  27. Prepare 1 tsp kewra water
Instructions to make Veg Tahiri Rice:
  1. Firstly,in a large kadai, heat 2 tbsp ghee and saute spices.
  2. Now add 1 onion and saute till onions turn golden.
  3. Further, add 2tsp raisins, 1 chilli, and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste. Saute well.
  4. Additionally, add vegetables and 1 tomato. Saute well.
  5. Further, add half tsp chilli powder, half coriander powder, one fourth tsp cumin powder, one fourth tsp garam masala & 1 tsp salt. Sautee for 2 minutes.
  6. Now keeping the flame on low add 2 tbsp curd and mix well.
  7. Now add 1cup basmati rice and 2 and half cup water.
  8. Cover & simmer for 20 minutes.
  9. Finally, veg Tahiri is ready to serve with raita or kachumber.
